Under the title War Science in the 21st Century, the Academy has been working for three years on a study that encompasses future military and civilian defense.

On April 11-12, the project's final conference was held at IVA's premises with the participation of just over a hundred people. Developments in our world were highlighted, initiated by Ambassador Veronica Wand-Danielsson, followed by a panel discussion moderated by Anna Wieslander and with the participation of members Katarina Enberg, Carolina Vendil-Pallin and Gunilla Herolf.

The technological development was discussed by two extremely knowledgeable people in the field, called member Sverre Diesen and Professor Bo Dahlbom. Pontus de Laval and members Martin Rantzer, Mats Olofsson and Lars Nylén participated in the subsequent panel debate. The moderator was member Sven Christer Nilsson.

Member Sven Christer Nilsson spoke on the important topic of society's development and vulnerability, after which an interesting panel discussion followed, moderated by Helena Stålnert and with the participation of Karolina Ekholm, Pontus Braunerhjelm and member Sven Christer Nilsson.

An interesting game was presented by honorary member and project manager Frank Rosenius and member Karlis Neretnieks with a responding group including members Jan Nygren, Peter Lagerblad, Jörgen Ericsson, Anders Persson, Bo Richard Lundgren, Anders Carell, Björn Körlof and Lars Nylén.

The conclusions from the project were presented by Member Anders Carell, where Member Lena Bartholdsson was then able to moderate a question and answer session with the participation of Members Jan Mörtberg, Peter Lagerblad, Mats Olofsson and Karlis Neretnieks.

Member Björn von Sydow, in his capacity as chairman of the defence committee, was then able to present the committee's conclusions and proposals, after which the closing remarks were delivered by Chairman Mikael Odenberg.

This summary, extremely cursory presentation of the conference is contradicted by the recordings that have been made, which reproduce this extremely interesting event in its entirety.
