This year's edition of Militärhistorisk Tidskrift spans from the Gustavian era to the kamikaze pilots of World War II – four articles highlight 1700th-century Sweden, and one of the contributions is written by the recently deceased economic historian Sven Fritz (1931–2025), whose research on Gustav III's finance minister Johan Liljencrants is among his last works.
The edition also contains reviews of new military history literature.
A magazine for those who know that history is not backward-looking – it is guiding.
The editor of this edition is Thomas Roth, former 1st curator at the Army Museum and member of KKrVA.
