Tibellus Prize –
The best article of the year in the Proceedings and Journal of the Royal Swedish Academy of Military Sciences

The prize is awarded annually.
The regulations for the Tibellus Prize are established by the Academy's Presidium.
The Academy's Editorial Committee is the body that evaluates the articles. The article that best passes the quality level accepted by the committee will be proposed for a reward. The decision on the reward is made by the Academy's Presidium.
Regulations
The Tibell Prize is awarded within the areas covered by the Royal Swedish Academy of Military Sciences' areas of operation. Thus, military defense, technology with application within the academy's disciplines, the civilian parts of societal/total defense as well as civilian crisis management, military history, and foreign, security and defense policy and strategy.
The members of the editorial committee select 3–4 candidates under the Analysis, Perspectives & Debate section of the Journal, after which the committee chair proposes the year's best article to the presidium no later than September 1.. The article must have been published in Handlingar och Tidskrift either in issue 3 or issue 4 of the previous year or in issue 1 or issue 2 of the current year.
The article may be prepared by one or more authors.
The article must be written in Swedish, Norwegian, Danish or English.
The article must not have been previously published as a separate publication, in article form or alternatively as a chapter in a collection of essays.
Articles written by students at FHS/MHS as well as at foreign counterparts are welcome.
The Academy, following a decision by the Presidium, awards authors the Tibell Prize in the form of a cash prize drawn from the Tibell Fund.
